Subject Strategic Planning Committee Meeting Today

There will be a meeting of the Strategic Planning Committee today at 4:00pm in the Presidents’ Conference Room.

All are welcome to attend. For this important process to be successful, we must have broad participation and transparency.

The next step in the process is the presentation by the Steering Committee of broad institutional data which will help develop the SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats.)

More Bandwidth, for Less Money!

Over the summer we upgraded one of our Internet circuits from 20mbps to 45mbps, providing a 25% increase in our overall capacity (we now have two 45mbps links). This upgrade was made possible due to a new NYS Contract with that service provider that provides double the capacity at a reduced cost to the college (we are going to save about $20,000 per year). Link balancing equipment is distributing traffic between two Internet service providers to better utilize our total of 90 megabits per second of Internet connectivity.
